The National Park Service and Yosemite have announced that they will resume working with a reservation system in 2024. These will be certain periods to regulate the number of visitors.
Entrance reservations in 2024
By 2024, reservations will be regularly required to enter Yosemite. This depends...
Last october we went for a little roundtrip from Denver, Moab to Monument Valley. Here we stayed at The View Hotel.
What a beautiful view from here! 🤩
We watched sunset, the nightsky and a beautiful sunrise from the balcony.
The photo below is made from the View Hotel, one of the most...
Just a small poll among all readers, I'm very curious to know what your favorite National Park is. Of course it is difficult to choose, but I am very curious what the outcome will be. To make it a little easier you can make two choices.
Next spring, from April 6, 2024 to be precise, we want to make a short tour through Texas. We will leave on April 6th starting in Dallas with the solar eclipse on October 8th. After this we want to descend left or right towards the south and make a short circuit to fly back from Dallas 9 days...
Next month I will be visiting North Cascades National Park. Unfortunately I am only here for 1 day. We spend the night in Winthrop and will then drive via the SR20 through North Cascades towards Seattle.
Does anyone have a nice 1 day itinerary? What are the most beautiful stops, viewpoints and...
Yosemit has announced via social media that no reservation will be required during the summer of 2023.
In recent years, a reservation was required. In 2020 and 2021 due to the pandemic and in 2022 due to the closure of various attractions such as Glacier Point Road.
Yosemite has announced that...
If all goes well I will go to Olympic National Park for 1 day next summer, probably early August. Where is the best place to go and what should I not miss?
If all goes well I will go to Mt Rainier National Park for 1 day next summer, probably early August. Where is the best place to go and what should I not miss?
Welcome! Sounds perfect! Just keep hydrated 🍹🧉🍻:ROFLMAO:
I went to the Southwest in July and august. Its very hot but it's not a big problem as long as you keep it in mind and can tolerate a bit of heat.
My personal choice fell on Bryce Canyon and Yosemite. As for Bryce Canyon, I really love the colors of Bryce! Especially during sunrise and sunset it is even more beautiful. I also love the ease with which you can walk between the red rocks.
Since I love waterfalls, forests and trees, Yosemite...
Many people go to Western America for the beautiful national parks. All parks are fantastic and unique, but which one do you think is the most beautiful of all ?
In order not to face an impossible task, you can choose two. :)
Please also leave a message as to why you chose these two parks.
One State Park that I have enjoyed immensely is the Valley of Fire. I'm a huge fan of the "red" parks anyway, but I'm really in love with the Valley of Fire.
The first time I visited the park really lived up to its name. It was extremely hot! Some parts of the park were closed due to the heat...
Next year I want to do a 21-day road trip through Alaska. I'm looking for the best itinerary to see as many National Parks as possible.
I understand you can only drive to three parks. From where can you best reach the other parks?
I hope you can help me with a nice itinerary.
