Driving and Camping

Hello Forum,

My name is Mike and I am soon going to see this great land that we live in. I'm retired and on my own so I can do pretty much whatever I want. Unfortunately I'm not rich. LOL. I decided the easiest way to see this country is to get in my car and DRIVE. I have a '23 Hyundai Santa Fe with a mattress in the back and I'm going to hit the road soon and see where I wind up. Split it up between car, camping and hotels. Last year I rode my Harley bagger from Jersey to California. I took a more southern route and thoroughly enjoyed it. I was planning on making a full loop and coming back across the northern part of the country to see a lot of the great national parks, but it just got way too hot. Temp was averaging 110° in Arizona, Nevada and California. It just got too hot. So I sold the bike at a Harley dealership in Fresno California, flew back to Jersey and bought another Harley. Now to complete that bucket list trip I'm going to take my car first to Key West, then to the Harley museum, and then to the northern end of the country to check out some of the great national parks. I'll see how it goes. I could always turn around and come home but for now the plan is to just drive and see where I wind up.
